Why me, why now? Those were the words I asked my self 5 minutes before I went on stage. Today was the day I preformed my play in front of students for the very first time. It wasn't a long play or a play preformed in a theater just a regular school play, but it still made me nervous. It all started two months ago. Here's what happened.
* * *
I was waiting in line to go and audition and I was ready for anything, I knew I could do it. Getting on stage to audition for the play Little Red Riding Hood when my director who was also a teacher at my school told me she wanted me to audition for the part of little red. I was surprised she wanted me to audition for the biggest part of the play.

I did the audition and a week later the cast list was posted. I got the part of Little Red. I told my friends and they were all happy and excited for me and I knew they would support me the whole time. But then I thought to myself can I do this actually preform in front of people. Oh my god what did I get my self into this time.

"Do you think I can do this? Actually not forget any of my lines?" I asked my friend Rogena.
She told me "Your a great actress and I believe in you 100%."
"Okay here I go."

"Places everyone" yelled Miss Perez. "And.. Action"
Knocking on the door about to say my first line I remember I shouldn't be scared I signed up for it because I love it. "Grandma it's me Little Red" I say with excitement and enthusiasm. During the middle of the play I just start to have fun with it. I had to do this twice and I was so excited for my next performance knowing that I could do this with no problems at all.
My last line of the play and I never have to do this again. Even though I doubted my self in the beginning I had a lot of fun. I'm so excited for my next play in doing for school called Agatha Rex. This one is much longer but we also had much more time to rehearse it. Hopefully I don't get as nervous for this on as I did Little Red Riding Hood. This time I have one of my good friends Sam in this play and as Ms. DeAnna says were like Tweetle Dee and Tweetle Dumb and we finish each others sentences. It's going to be great. Now time for the Little Red Riding Hood cast party. YAY!!!
